Why Choose Tentasy

Not a Tour Operator. A Wildlife Expedition Team.

Six reasons travellers, photographers, schools, and conservation lovers choose Tentasy for their wildlife journeys across India, Sri Lanka, and the Indian Ocean.

Handpicked Stays
Where You Rest
"You should sleep as well as you travel."
01 · Where You Sleep

Five-star or better. Every single night.

No compromise on where you rest. Every night of your journey is booked into a five-star hotel, luxury lodge or premium resort — chosen for its location and comfort, never just to fill a line on the itinerary.

  • Five-star hotels, luxury lodges and premium resorts only
  • Properties chosen for location and character, not price
  • Proper beds, hot water and good food even deep in the wild
  • Upgraded wherever a better property exists
5★minimum standard, every night of your trip

On The Road
"The road moves at your pace, not a timetable’s."
02 · How You Travel

Your own vehicle. Air-conditioned. Always.

You never share a coach or wait on somebody else’s schedule. Every transfer, drive and safari runs in a private, air-conditioned vehicle reserved for your group alone — so you stop when something catches your eye and leave when you are ready.

  • Private, air-conditioned vehicles on every leg
  • No shared coaches and no waiting in pick-up queues
  • Stop, linger or detour whenever you want to
  • Experienced drivers who know the routes properly

"Someone who knows the plan, so you don’t have to."
03 · Who Is With You

One dedicated buddy, start to finish.

From the moment you arrive to the moment you fly home you have a dedicated Tentasy buddy — the same person for the whole trip. They carry the logistics, the check-ins and the small problems before you ever notice them.

  • The same dedicated buddy for your entire journey
  • Handles check-ins, permits and daily logistics
  • Reachable throughout the trip, not just at the start
  • Learns your pace and your preferences as you go

04 · Space & Safety

No crowds. Military-grade safety discipline.

We route deliberately around the busy circuits and time our movements to miss the rush, so your sighting is not shared with twenty other vehicles. Underneath it sits a safety protocol built on military-standard planning — briefings, contingencies and clear procedure.

  • Routes and timings planned to avoid crowded spots
  • Military-based safety protocols on every expedition
  • Clear briefings and contingency plans before you set out
  • Ex-military expertise behind our safety standards

"Memories you can actually watch again."
05 · What You Take Home

Your journey, professionally filmed.

A professional shooter travels with you and captures the trip properly — the sightings, the landscapes and the quiet moments in between. You go home with footage worth keeping instead of a camera roll of shaky phone clips.

  • Professional video coverage throughout your expedition
  • Wildlife, landscape and candid moments all covered
  • Edited films you will actually want to share
  • Nothing to film yourself — you just have to be there

06 · Who You Travel With

Never merged with strangers.

Your departure is yours alone. We do not combine bookings to fill seats — whether you travel solo, as a couple or with your own group, the expedition runs privately for you and nobody else.

  • Private departures, never merged with other bookings
  • Solo, couple or your own group — entirely your own
  • No strangers added to make up the numbers
  • The itinerary bends to your group, not to an average

A typical safari tour vs Tentasy

The honest difference between a checklist tour and an ethical wildlife expedition.

Typical Tour Operator Standard

What most safari packages look like.

  • Large mixed groups of 15–20 strangers
  • Driver-guides with no formal naturalist training
  • Wildlife treated as photo props — speed over depth
  • No photographer; you're on your own with your phone
  • Rigid itineraries that can't bend to the wildlife
  • Generic operators running the same trip in every region

Tentasy Our Way

What every Tentasy expedition delivers.

  • Intentionally small groups, capped for impact and intimacy
  • Certified naturalists with 12+ years of field expertise
  • Depth, ethics, and zero-disturbance sighting protocols
  • Dedicated photographer + curated e-album included free
  • Flexible itineraries that follow the forest, not the clock
  • Region-specialist guides for every ecosystem we run

"Our naturalist was a genuine encyclopedia of the forest. Tiger sightings in Nagarahole were unbelievable, but what stayed with me was how much I learned about the ecosystem. Worth every rupee."

Quick Answers

Frequently Asked

The questions travellers ask before booking their first expedition with us.

Why is Tentasy more expensive than other safari tours?

You're paying for ethics, expertise, and intimacy — small groups, certified naturalist guides, a personal photographer, an included e-album, KFD-certified ethical sighting protocols, and itineraries built around the wildlife rather than a packed bus schedule. Most travellers feel the difference from the very first sighting.

Where does Tentasy operate?

We run expeditions across 15+ reserves in India and Sri Lanka — Karnataka (Bandipur, Nagarahole, Kabini, Bhadra, BRT), Madhya Pradesh (Kanha, Bandhavgarh, Pench, Panna, Satpura), Rajasthan (Ranthambore), Gujarat (Gir), Assam (Kaziranga), the Andaman Islands (PADI scuba), and Sri Lanka (Yala, Bundala, Udawalawe). We're also expanding into Kenya (Maasai Mara) and Tanzania (Serengeti).

How big are Tentasy groups?

Group sizes are intentionally small. Most safari and photography trips run with 4–6 guests, occasionally up to 8 for larger overlanding circuits. This protects both the wildlife and your experience — better sightings, calmer animals, and real conversations with your naturalist.

Are Tentasy guides actually qualified?

Yes. Our team holds formal naturalist certifications, decades of combined field experience, conservation-biology backgrounds, and PADI / SDI dive certifications. Several have been featured in wildlife magazines in India and the UK. We've also been panellists at academic institutions including St. Joseph's College of Commerce.

Do you work with schools, colleges, and corporates?

Yes. We run leadership expeditions, eco-tourism workshops, Train-the-Teacher programs, certified PADI scuba sessions, and wildlife photography certifications. Past clients include Sastra University, Sainik School, Navy Children School, Great Lakes Institute of Management, and the Military Engineering Centre.

Is the photographer really included for free?

Yes. A dedicated wildlife photographer joins every expedition at no extra cost, and you receive a curated e-album within 7 days of the trip ending. Travellers bringing their own gear get mentorship sessions in field technique, big-cat behaviour, and post-processing.
